30 Seconds to Mars prepara una película sobre su batalla legal con EMI

El litigio se solucionó hace años, pero Jared Leto y los suyos parece que no lo olvidan. Tanto es así que siguen adelante con un proyecto de película en el que contarán con pelos y señales el conflicto legal que tuvieron con su discográfica hace años.

Los hechos se remontan a 2008, después de que EMI pasara a manos de Terra Firma un año antes. La discográfica presentó una demanda contra 30 Seconds to Mars acusándoles de incumplimiento del contrato y exigiéndoles nada menos que 30 millones de dólares.

En aquel momento, el propio Jared Leto emitió un comunicado en el que consideraba la cantidad "inflada, totalmente irreal y muy estúpida". El cantante y actor recordó que, según la ley de California, ningún artista puede quedar atado a una discográfica durante más de siete años.

Al parecer, la banda, después de nueve años en EMI, quiso buscar otro sello con el que firmar y aprovechó para sacar a la luz algunas cifras: en ese tiempo habían vendido 2 millones de copias de las que no habían visto un dólar y la compañía les exigía aún más.

Fuera como fuese, lo cierto es que un año más tarde la demanda quedó en papel mojado y 30 Seconds to Mars publicó This is War con EMI. No obstante, parece que la banda no ha olvidado y trabaja en una película sobre toda aquella batalla.

Según recoge NME, el gurú de la industria musical estadounidense Bob Lefsetz asegura que el grupo sigue adelante con sus intenciones y le ha pedido que grabe todo el proceso como "testigo", lo que, al meno deja una duda: ¿Quién perdió la batalla?. A la cinta habrá que esperar



Los rumores se hacen mas fuertes.

Luego de una gira de más de dos años parece que la unión de Jared Leto con 30 Seconds to Mars podría llegar a su fin, según publica blogdelatele.blogspot.com

Jared Leto en una entrevista dejo entrever que o bien se dan un descanso o se separan, ya que hay proyectos y planes personales que ya no quieren dejar pasara.

El cantante dijo que todo este tiempo de promoción del último álbum ha sido como un torbellino, que dos años son mucho y que todos están un poco cansados y quieren tiempo para poder hacer otras cosas, ocuparse un poco del futuro, un futuro personal por el enfoque que da Leto.

Seguramente más adelante tendremos noticias al respecto, si es un receso o una separación definitiva.
